Smoothies are such a great breakfast option. They are super easy and quick to make and you can really pack some nutrition into them. This blueberry coconut smoothie is refreshing and is a great base to add your favourite boosters.
You can enjoy this smoothie as it. On it’s own it is filled with healthy, metabolism boosting fat from the coconut milk. Minerals and electrolytes from the coconut water and plenty of antioxidants and vitamins from the blueberries.
To boost the smoothie you can try adding some of the following –
Protein powder e.g. whey or pea based protein powders to boost the protein content. This is a must if you are having this smoothie after training. I recommend The healthy Chef for the best whey based protein and Amazonian Raw Protein for a plant based protein powder.
Probiotics – support your digestion, immune system and gut health with a teaspoon of your favourite probiotic.
Superfoods e.g. maca, lacuma or maqui powders for a nutritional boost.
Mix it up, get creative and enjoy your smoothie, your way.
